Today, monday december 15th 2008, students from WELLSPRING Learning Community came over to Audi Plaza where they were offered a tour of the Bank, as well as a viewing of Maxime’s Everest documentary.
This was followed by a 45 minute Q & A session with Maxime where students and teachers alike asked Maxime about a wide range of subjects.

They offered Maxime a page marker with the Wellspring Learning Community profiles, namely:

And Maxime replied with a signed postcard to everyone present as well as a poster for the School in Badaro.

On December 17th, the students sent Max the following thank you note:

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us and to answer our questions. (Omar)

Thank you for sharing with us your trip experience in Antarctica and Mount Everest. (Rabie)

You helped us learn that Mount Everest grows 8 mm each year.(Ibrahim)

We enjoyed the advice you gave us especially when you said, “ there is an Everest for everyone”(Amal+Mohamad)

We are also extremely grateful to you for giving us postcards and signing them. (Roula)

We promise to stay posted and follow your achievements on your future expedition to the North Pole. ( Elissa)

We really hope and pray that you will have a safe journey in April. (Aidan)
