Today we started with decent conditions (-39 F and clear) but by midday the clouds had rolled in and the temperature increased to a balmy -20F. With the warm temperatures came very low visibility followed by virtually white-out conditions.

Several times today we encountered big leads trending in a NW or NNW direction. The leads were solid enough to ski on, so we enjoyed traveling on the relatively flat, smooth surfaces.

We had to do some minor ski repair in the tent tonight, but all is well. Now we’re ready for some R & R.

We were on the go for 7 hours and we traveled 6.4 nautical miles.

Our current position in degrees, minutes, seconds, is N84.03.30, W78.08.05.
