Zefta public school. South of Lebanon. May 2007. Ten months after the July war that devastated the area. I was more than half way through the Keynote presentation to some 200 students when the power went. The headmaster rushed to fetch an old generator from a friend, but its irregular cycle burnt the light bulb of the LCD projector. The sound system still working, and the kids about to go mad (understandably) begging and shouting to see the end of the documentary, I had no choice but to turn my MacBook Pro around to face them…
